Pine Ridge Landscaping was founded by Dan and Carol Harmon in the spring of 1998. Dan had spent a decade working for a larger landscaping outfit out of Portland, and after their second son was born, he decided it was time to build something of his own, something where he could stand behind every job that left with his name on it.

The first years were modest: three regular lawn accounts, a few cleanups, and a lot of word-of-mouth referrals from neighbors in Scarborough who appreciated that Dan showed up when he said he would and never cut corners on a job. Carol handled the scheduling and estimates from the kitchen table.

By 2005, the business had grown into a full-service operation with a dedicated crew. Jake and Ryan Harmon started helping during summers in their teens, and both joined the company full-time after school. Today, Jake runs field operations and Ryan manages client relationships and project estimates.

We still operate the same way we always have: small enough to care, experienced enough to handle anything. Every estimate comes with a straight conversation about what you need and what it'll cost. No upselling, no fine print.
